This means that if you want to take advantage of the deal, you’ll have to register your interest, and hope that you’re one of the lucky few who are chosen. During Prime Day, Amazon adds a similar type of deal on products that it thinks will sell out fast. Instead of making these deals available to everyone, however, it limits access to those who have an invite. Any Prime member can register for these invite-only deals, but only a lucky few will be selected to take advantage of them. Amazon expects demand for these products to exceed supply, so they’re letting you register for a chance to buy the product if your name is chosen.

If you’re selected from the people that register for these invite-only deals, you’ll receive an email or push notification informing you that you have the opportunity to buy the deal. You’re only able to buy a single product; you won’t be able to select more than one.

If you change your mind, you’re under no obligation to make the purchase if you don’t want to, so if you think you may be interested in an invite-only deal, there’s no harm in registering your interest. If you decide you don’t want to buy the item, you can just ignore the notification.

How to sign up for Prime Day invite-only deals

You’ll need to be a Prime member to register your interest

Signing up for any of the special invite-only deals is incredibly easy. Getting picked by Amazon to buy the product is purely a matter of luck, however; there’s no trick to increase your chances of success.

1. Visit the Amazon invite-only Prime deals page.
2. Click or tap on a product to open the product page.
3. Click or tap the Request Invite button. If you’re not a Prime member, you’ll need to sign up before you can request an invitation.
4. You should receive a confirmation email to the address listed on your Amazon account, confirming your registration for the invite-only deal.
5. Repeat the process to register for any other invite-only deals you want to apply for. There’s no limit to the number of invite-only deals you can register for.
6. If you’re successful with any of your registrations, you’ll receive an email or push notification when the deal is available to purchase.
7. If you’re not successful, you should receive an email informing you that you didn’t make the cut.
8. If you want to take advantage of the deal, purchase the product within the deal window. You’ll only be able to purchase a single item.
9. If you decide you don’t want the product, you don’t need to do anything.
